EntryPoint is dedicated to teaching programming skills to beginners as efficiently as possible through educational articles, videos, tasks, and projects. By accessing our platform, you agree to these Terms of Service.

Acceptable Use Policy

Sharing Rules

You are not permitted to copy, reproduce, transfer, sell, resell, or otherwise misuse any content on the site unless specifically authorized to do so. All forms of content, data, or text scraping through manual, mechanical, or automated means including by the use of bots or other similar software is prohibited.

Account Requirements

To register, you will be required to provide a valid email address and create a password. Please keep your password secure. You are prohibited from sharing your password, letting anyone besides yourself access your account, or doing anything that might put your account at risk.

Communication Rules

When you have purchased the course you have access to asking questions on course segments. A degree of cordiality is expected. In the case of abuse of the questions feature, or other communication features, your account may be restricted. A communication-restricted account will still have access to view the course content, tasks, and others questions. However, they cannot post questions themselves. Please keep in mind that users of all ages can use EntryPoint, and we don't allow content that is inappropriate for younger users.

Restrictions

We reserve the right to restrict, disable, or terminate the accounts of users who do not addhere to the Terms of Service.

Payments & Refund Policy

Full access to EntryPoint requires a one-time payment for lifetime access. Payments are processed through Stripe, with the possibility of added processors in the future. Please note that we treat violations of our Acceptable use policy seriously, and we have no obligation to offer refunds to users who violate these or other EntryPoint policies.

One-time Purchases

EntryPoint offers a complete refund until 14 days after the payment if the account/activation code is unused. Once an upgraded account is accessed, you are no longer eligible for a refund. EntryPoint is not a service-related business, EntryPoint is a product. The only product we sell is course access. Once you login into your paid account, which constitutes the effective completion of our contract, getting a refund is no longer possible. All Disputes, Chargebacks, and Refund attempts will result in your account being permanently terminated for fraud.

The information we hold about you:

The data we collect and process includes your email address and IP address. The information is collected by your registration to the site. We may collect non-personally identifiable information about you in the course of your interaction with our site. This information may include technical information about the browser or type of device you're using. This information will be used purely for analytics and tracking the number of visitors to our site.

Keeping your data secure

We are committed to ensuring that any information you provide to us is secure. To prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable measures and procedures to safeguard and secure the information that we collect.

How your personal information is used

We use your email to register your account. We may use it to inform you of activity, news, or updates on our site. We may use your email to market ads to you on Twitter and Facebook. Your IP address is recorded when you perform certain actions on our site. Your IP address is never publicly visible. We may wish to communicate with all members any important information such as newsletters or announcements by email. You can opt-in to or opt-out of such emails in your profile.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to find statistics about the usage of the site, for tracking: How we acquire users, The popularity of pages, How many users use the website, Conversion Tracking, Market Research, and Remarketing. We do not supply additional information to Google. We only use the scripts. Some information about how you browse this site is recorded and shared with Google as is standard with this service.

Google signals data collection

Google Analytics collects data about your traffic in addition to data collected through a standard Google Analytics implementation in order to provide additional features like cross-device audiences and insights.

Google Analytics will collect visitation information and associate it with Google information from accounts of signed-in users who have consented to this association for the purpose of ads personalization. This Google information may include end user location, search history, YouTube history, and data from sites that partner with Google—and is used to provide aggregated and anonymized insights into your behaviors. Such data may be accessed and/or deleted by end users via My Activity.

Granular location and device data collection

Google Analytics collects metadata about the city-level location and granular device details about our visitors so it can provide location and device-based capabilities in our analytics and advertising software.

Google Ads Personalization

Google Analytics gatthers data to provide personalized experiences to our end users, including on third party platforms by sharing data with Google. This includes data associated with your Google account. For example, if you use GH while signed into a Google account, you may receive ads from EntryPoint on Youtube and other platforms using this feature.

CAPTCHA privacy policy

This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google privacy policy and terms of service apply.

We use Google Analytics 4, which is privacy-focused (things like IP addresses are not logged or stored and no personally identifiable information is used). This allows us to better understand how users use the site so we can improve their experience. Better Analytics is an addon we use that was developed by I/O Labs, a search engine used to combat fraud.

Email Marketing & Updates

We may send out periodic emails to market a product, or give updates on the site. There is an unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email and you can also unsubscribe through the Settings.

Remarketing

In the interest of marketing new and cool things on the site to you, we will use your email address to remarket to you on Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, Threads, Google and other social media websites. What this means is we pay these companies to serve advertisements for our website, to you, on their platforms. Essentially we are putting your registered email in a marketing list on these services. By agreeing to this policy you agree to allow us to do this, therefore you may see an increase in advertisements from EntryPoint on these platforms. To opt out of this you may change your email to not match the email you use on these platforms. Also on both Facebook and Twitter you can click the drop down menu on advertisements you don't want to see and block them.

Because of the nature of Remarketing, these services will know that you have visited this site.

Stripe

We use Stripe for payment, analytics, and other business services. Stripe collects identifying information about the devices that connect to its services. Stripe uses this information to operate and improve the services it provides to us, including for fraud detection.
